The humans are basically the reason for all conflicts within the region. As they began to exploit nature they grew and after a while they began to intrude on the Shalion territories. The humans ran over all resistance and enslaved the elves.
Humans have a hard time to see the world and it?s resources as finite and always want more. They see other races, especially the Shalion, as lesser beings and therefore believe in their right to enslave and oppress. The dwarves are accepted in the cities but hillbillies still see them as slaves. Humans can?t se that they are responsible for the Nosgoth and will defend themselves from anyone who tries to take what is theirs.
Expanding, capitalistic and egocentric.
Not as tall as the elves, most have blond or brown hair, wear nice clothes.
For centuries the dwarves lived a primitive life in the mountains to the east. As the humans began to build mines they discovered what existed inside. Soon the dwarves became cheap but good labor in the mountains but also in other places throughout the land. When the war with the Shalion and Nosgoth began they proved to be skillful warriors also, and instead of being slaves became allies within the Melkei.
The dwarves have only been ?civilized? for a short time, but have mastered technology and other skills really fast. Although they feel like equals to the humans, a view shared with most educated humans, the slave issue is a sensitive issue. They share the same capitalistic ideals and lust to exploit as the humans and therefore share the same enemies. Although they don?t really want war, they have chosen the side they benefit the most from.
Rough, hardworking and skillful.
Short and sturdy, often wearing facial hair, red or brown hair, dressed like humans, but with other sizes.
During humanity?s struggle to invent a powerful weapon to quell all enemies, the magic art of necromancy saw the light. It was powerful but the magicians who used it became dark in mind. It led to a war between humans and the so called cursed, later joined by the forsaken.
The world must be purified by fire. Nature has gone it?s own way for far to long and must be controlled by the cursed. By burning and raising what has become dead, order will be restored. All creatures that don?t believe in this must be purified.
Destructive, domineering and evil.
Distorted, torn, pale skin, sick-looking.
The forsaken were created in cruel experiments during the studies of necromancy. The necromancers crossed elves, often the aggressive or problematic, with dead or dying animals like wolves, the forsaken was the result. When they eventually managed to escape and return to their kin, they were rejected as an abomination and soon rejoined with their former masters, but now as allies in the destruction of those that had hurt them.
When different it can be hard to find ones place. The forsaken hate the humans and their allies for what they have done, and the elves for not accepting them, when they have done nothing wrong, with the exception for killing one or two of their own and eaten them raw. Although the cursed were the ones who created them, they are also the only ones that accept them, and therefore they fight by their side.
Dual personalities, bestial and disappointed.
Look like strong elves, with bestial features like manes, pointed teeth, claws, dark eyes, hairy bodies and rags as clothes.
The elves are the oldest inhabitants in the region and have always lived side by side with nature. War were almost unknown to them when the humans came, and they were pretty easily enslaved. After escaping from the camps they are still don?t believe in war, but do no longer hesitate to defend themselves and nature if attacked.
All is one, but the Melkei have made nature unbalanced and therefore must be turned or driven away from the region. The war elves are a little rough, but they share the same goals and therefore are loved. The Nosgoth are pure evil and are a great threat and abomination to nature and must be destroyed.
Peaceful, ecological and nature loving.
Tall creatures with fancy clothes, pointy ears, long hair and majestic.
The war elves did not exist until the humans began to enslave the elves. In the labor camps, some of the pacifistic elves, mostly the younger ones, began to reassess the attitude to violence and war. They began to train themselves in what can be described as an offensive art and later led their people towards freedom.
War elves are a more extreme version of normal elves. They love nature and see themselves as its protector. In their eyes all the other races, with an exception for other elves, must be turned or suffer their wrath. After the human exploitation of nature, the slavery and the creation of the Nosgoth, humans are their archenemies, and the dwarves are hated for their alliance. The Nosgoth, both the cursed and the forsaken, must be destroyed, as their main goal is to burn all the War elves hold as holy. The War Elves have ceased to kill animals for meat and skin, but they find it necessary to interfere with the environment to produce weapons etc. for the purpose of saving the world, as a means to an end.
Narrow-minded, aggressive and revengeful.
Slim and about 190 cm in height, war painted, different hair styles, often in dreadlocks or short, pierced, tattooed, worn out clothes and barefoot.
